Ipswich Hospital Community Choir – Celebrating 10 years of hitting the right notes.
IHCC brings together keen amateur singers and NHS staff and is celebrating its 10th anniversary by performing some much-loved favourites during a special charity concert.
The choir was set up in January 2013 under the leadership of Nick Coleman, who continues as the choirmaster today. There are now over 40 members who rehearse every Wednesday evening at the Courtyard Restaurant in the hospital. The song choices range from Take That and Taylor Swift songs to Abba hits and classical pieces.
The choir will be marking their anniversary year with a special concert at St Peter’s by the Waterfront, in partnership with the St Peter’s Band, raising money for the Children’s Appeal at Ipswich Hospital and the Jess Grant Celebration, which helps young patients to enjoy music while they are unwell.
